Claire Sherwood

Sculptor, , Mom, Artistic Genius in no specific order

I met Claire during freshman orientation on the campus of BGSU a few years ago. Ok, maybe it's been more than a few. (sigh) I needed to feature Claire as my first artist because I think she is as close to artistic genius as it gets. I don't call too many people BFF (It's pretty annoying) but Claire definitely gets the title! My Ava Claire didn't get middle name from nowhere.

You really don't understand sacrifice until you've met an artist. Sacrifice has Claire's name written all over it. Everything she does, everything she creates is for the sake of art. She lives and breathes it.

Over the years I have envied her. That envy grows each and every day into respect. You see so many people in life wake up to work to get the check. Claire's done it the other way around. She wakes up to live to do what she loves. It shows through in every piece she creates and it's a no wonder she's become the successful artist she is today. Easy formula: Success= Doing what you love! Although, I'm sure Claire would tell me the check is always nice too!

Claire's success is also contributed to by the fact that she is constantly re-inventing herself. Never a dull moment I've seen her work with every medium possible as a sculptor. Things I thought were impossible. I'm psyched to finally get the opportunity to collaborate with Claire in the blog world. Huh, an English degree CAN be considered art.

Artboundmomma is Claire's new adventure along with muse of a daughter Nora. I highly recommend following this website for pure enjoyment and enlightenment. Claire has been in this art game for a while now but its a whole new perspective from Nora.

Honestly, I could talk about Claire for days on end, instead I'll let her work speak for itself. Claire can be reached via her blogs and website.
