Ava Claire.

I promised her I would do this blog entry before her return from school today.  Ava, Cate and I have always collaborated on all of our artistic adventures. Whether it's painting, sewing, sketching we're all kind of working together to make it happen.

She's going to be 12 in July and she's decided that it's "time" to branch out and write her own blog.  She needs more "artistic freedom" as she stated, rather than giving behind-the-scenes input to lapis&moss.  I put a pencil and a sketchpad in front of her as soon as she could sit up so I guess the natural evolution is to move to her very own blog.  Fortunately for me, she has decided to continue her input when she can and I am grateful for that!

I totally get it. 12 is a big year and it's time to spread the wings.  So with that being said I decided to post a little entry with some of her most recent sketches and designs.  She has amazing talent and an eye for detail.  She hasn't really given me the full scoop as to what her blog will formally be about but I'm imagining it will be dedicated to the more digital components of design and animation.  That's what she's drawn to.

Enjoy her latest works and stay tuned for more information about Ava's blog.

Keep doodling.
